“When I went back-to-school shopping it was probably one of the most calming and easy things I’ve ever done!” said no one ever. Yeah, it’s a well-known concept by now that back-to-school shopping is just crazy, hectic, and horrible. Luckily, once you get home and look at all the super cute outfits you just got, it feels a whole lot better. When I got my clothes, I already had several ideas of what I was going to wear during the first week, and I was beyond excited. Having a few cute outfits that make you look and feel like a rock star, I believe, is a necessity when facing the end of the all amazing summer and heading into the anxiety-filled storm of the first week of school. I’ve got to admit, my outfit was pretty darn cute, so if you want some inspiration for what to wear on your first day, then keep on reading!
My outfit, though basic, was still very stylish. Besides, I think it’s good to have more of a basic, everyday look on the first day of school so that everyone has a “blank-canvas” first impression of you. Also, I don’t like to stick out that much during the first week of school, so wearing a more basic outfit helps me to blend in a bit. Once I start feeling more comfortable, that’s when I start to crawl out of my little hermit shell so I can stand out from the crowd.
As you can see in the picture, the outfit I wore on the first day of school consisted of a red lettuce-cut top, ripped mom jeans, and some plain white vans, which are a staple in my closet. You can get items like these at many places, and probably for cheaper than I found them. I recommend TJ Maxx for super cute clothes that have great prices! However, if you are interested in checking it out, here’s where my items came from:
I sure hope that this gave you some inspiration for what you might want to wear on your first day of school, and if you liked my outfit, leave a like and stay tuned for my upcoming posts! If you are going back to school soon, know that it’s really not as bad as it may seem, and it will be fun being able to see all of your classmates. What matters most is your personality and character, not what you wear. If you’re ready to learn and make new friends, then you are already prepared for back-to-school!
